A message from our founder and President:
Growing up in the busy city of Philadelphia, I never imagined that my heart would one day belong to the serene and enriching world of farming. My journey began submerged in busy city life, where the pace was relentless and the connections often fleeting. In my early 20's I started to seek greater adventures, I knew I needed a change and soon after moved to the Bucks County suburbs. The sense of peace and tranquility that followed launched me into a love of being outdoors.
My transition from city life found me immersed in learning the hard work required to cultivate the land followed by the joy of growing from seed to harvest. Spending time working the land has taught me lessons in patience, resilience and perseverance- all qualities that have profoundly shaped my character and outlook on life.
Throughout this journey, I have been guided by a strong desire to help those in need. My commitment to helping others extends beyond donations as I strive to equip individuals with knowledge and resources so they too can enjoy the fruits of their labor. I am so thrilled to share City Roots Farm Foundation with you all!
We partner with local outreach programs to support families in need within our community. Through these collaborations we provide essential resources such as food, clothing and access to basic needs. By working together with these organizations, we aim to ease the burden faced by struggling families helping them get back on their feet and thrive. Our collective efforts are focused on creating a stronger and more connected community where everyone has the support they need to succeed.
City Roots Farm was established in 2024. We are a new nonprofit looking to bolster support to our community with the goal of delivering fresh produce directly to the doors of those in need. In addition to what we grow, we also have successfully completed two donation drives delivering over 500 backpacks, school supplies and snacks to our local school district at the beginning of the 2024/2025 school year as well as delivered over 100 coats to those in need with our Give Warmth initiative. Collaborate with Us
We partner with other nonprofits and local farms to maximize our impact and support as many people as possible. By leveraging their platforms and outreach, we can extend our reach to a larger audience. Setting up donation bins at farms like Tiny Miracles Farm Rescue in Chalfont, PA, has been instrumental in promoting our nonprofit and helping us gain traction in the community.
